Abstract

Many women and girls suffer from violent behavior of opposite sex on daily basis. So far many scholars focused on the agent of VIOLENCE, but in this article VICTIMs’ behavior on increasing or decreasing AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR is investigated. The main tool for collecting data in this research was questionnaires and observation, and the main statistical methods used, was factor analysis, cluster analysis and multiple regression. The results show that VERBAL ABUSE and staring were common forms of AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIORs. More than two-thirds of women and girls during the period reviewed have experienced such violent behaviors at least once. Low social-economic status and asocial behavior of VICTIMs are the independent variables that increase VIOLENCE against women and religious commitment of women and girls is most important factor that might decrease violent behavior.
