Abstract

MADAYAN I HAZAR DADESTAN, The book of Thousand Judgments is one of the most important social history sources and juridical text in Middle Persian language and script. This text has been written in dawn Sasanian era i.e. the early 7th century A.D. and it is the only text remained from juridical tradition of Zoroastrianism that discusse in legal and civil issues for surviving in its original form and language, It belongs to the era before Islam. In this book a compilation of law terms is mentioned like as: slavery, warranty, partnership, marriage, divorce, disobedient or misconduct and etc. In Sasanian period women's position depends on their status class and the women that didn' t follow of principles and social norms, have been punished in multiple reasons. The kind of their punishments depends on their social levels and these women were called disobedient. Therefore In this article, discussion of misconduct's concept and legal aspects that is related to it in various levels (Padixšay-wife and čagar-wife), analysis the verdicts of it, quality of partnership and woman's possession in properties, before and after of her misconduct's confirmation, conditions of accuring properties and inherited for disobedient's woman's children and also quality of their incoming, has been studied.
