Abstract

Interpretation or Tafsir has a historical record in Islam. Two Shia Tafsirs among those are of significant importance; one is Al Borhan by Al Bahrani and the other is Nour Al Thaghalein by Sheikh Al Havizi. Both interpreters (Mofassers) were familiar and lived in eleventh century. Their approaches had been stop for about three centuries and then another Shia work appeared; called Tafsir AL MIZAN which was written by a great interpreter (Mofasser), Mohammad Hossein TABATABAEI. The present article attempts to study this great writing.
