Abstract

The Soft War is one of the West media goals against the Islamic Revolution of Iran. The nature of this war has been different in the ups and downs of history and different times. After the conclusion of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPA) between Iran and the so-called 5 +1 countries, the nature of this Soft War changed from nuclear discussions towards human rights, missile activities, civil liberties, Iran's actions in the region, and terrorist support. Agenda-setting and Paradigm-Setting theories were used in the analysis of the foreign countries News in the continuation of the Soft War after JCPA. Given the international media's emphasis on missile tests of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, the present paper examined this issue as one of the major issues of Soft War during the year after JCPA event on BBC Persian, Al Arabiya and Voice of America News sites using content analysis. After extracting News related to the achievements and missile tests, 18 items were extracted from them and analyzed. Finally, the conclusion showed that the News sites mentioned have made an image of the dangerousness of Iran's sovereignty for the region and the world, defined in line with the Soft War besides emphasizing anti-Iranian News and highlighting them.
