Abstract

Abu Nasr Muhammad Farrabi (259-339, Hegira), as the second teacher next to Aristotle, is considered by most Islamic scholars to be the founder of Islamic Philosophy who introduced the "POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY" into Islamic world as a field of inquiry. In deed, he is the first great Islamic thinker who entangled himself philosophically with the nature of politics and its relation to that of man. In his two books: "Views in Ideal State" and Civic Policy", both of which are mere reflection of his existentialistic philosophy, describes the civil system under a universal system. He, first, reflects on the creation of cosmos and ,formation of heavenly bodies, development of constellations and then the evolution of mankind and finally the development of COMMUNITY and Medina (city). The present study tries, as a response to the question of objectivity and nature as contained and discussed in his political and philosophy texts, to shed some lights upon the status of fundamental concepts of politics such as equity, JUSTICE, UTOPIA, civil man, social hierarchy, socio-political system, law, prophecy and Shari 'at in his thinking and POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY.
