Abstract

FZPA is a planar structure which is used to concentrate electromagnetic wave in a focal point. Therefore, Fresnel can be interpreted as a convergent element. In this paper both circular Fresnel zone plate antenna (FZPA) and the new FZPA using PBG are presented. In fact the circular Fresnel zone plate antenna with and without PBG STRUCTURES were simulated to study the effect of changing the some parameters. The proposed antennas were fabricated to validate the simulations results and the experimental results are in relatively good agreement with the analysis.
