Abstract

Based on some of the MATHNAVI's interpreters, most of Maulana's ideas are justifiable with the psychologists' ideas. This problem is seen in the first story of the first volume of the MATHNAVI of Ma'navi (king and the Bonds-maid) with high coefficiency. The type and method of treatment, in the course of composition, are based on the psychological methods. The spiritual hakim as a therapist, by gathering the information and the cause, as exactly is done in medicine, wants to cure the bonds-maid's psychological illness and succeeds. The evolution of this treatment has concordance with cognitive method of treatment in psychological domain.The therapeutic method is one of the ways of psychotherapy in which the therapist tries, by interpreting the patient's thoughts and behaviors, to correct and bring them to an ordinary attitude in life. Since AARON T. BECK is a pioneer in this method of healing the disease, we have adopted his therapeutic principles and adapted them with the treatment methods used in the story of 'king and the bonds-maid".
