Abstract

Self-awareness is the extremity and ultimate cognition which leads to the recognition of Almighty God. The priority of SELF-AWARENESS to theology has an old background; so as the great men of theosophy have considered it the end reasons of all cognitions. In Aristotle's point of view SELF-AWARENESS is the first step in the way of man's perfectionism. EGHBAL LAHURI, a great poet in Islamic world, has dealt with it in his poetry and attributed the Muslims' lack of progress and lack of dynamism to deviation from their originality and considered the great secret of monotheism in the unity of selves. The present article has investigated the importance of SELF-AWARENESS and SELF-CONFIDENCE in the poetry of this Islamic poet and philosopher.
