Abstract

One of the minor stories from 8th chapter in MARZBAN NAMEH Book is “Woven with Snake Tale”, which because of its characteristics in comparison with other stories in this book has been chosen for structuralist analysis. Whereas anecdotes from MARZBAN NAMEH book and their similar stories (from Persian ancient literary texts) have been rarely criticized and analyzed based on modern literary theories and most of them were only limited to their content so at the present essay, story and structural components have been reviewed in MARZBAN NAMEH and then the approach taken by A. J. GREIMAS (French naratologist), who is one of the theorists in STRUCTURALISM school, has been adopted objectively and tangibly on this story. According to the latter theory, story actors and characters are surveyed inWoven and Snake Anecdote.
