Abstract

The research purpose is to investigate the effectiveness of group counseling with cognitive-behavioral approach on MENTAL HEALTH of female students; Therefore 24 individuals were randomly selected among from the state junior high schools, grouped into experimental, control groups, and tested by "MENTAL HEALTH Questionnaire". Having been provided with 12 two-hour group counseling sessions, the obtained results in pretest and posttest were compared which indicated that cognitive-behavioral group counseling resulted in and promoted an ongoing and long-term improvement in student's determinants of MENTAL HEALTH in the experimental group.
