Abstract

The research purpose is to assess the FACTORIAL STRUCTURE of Robin and Peplau’s BELIEF IN JUST WORLD. Statistical results from a sample of 1500 male and female individuals of Isfahan who were tested by “Robin and Peplau’s BELIEF IN JUST WORLD scale (BJWS)” and based on first order factor analysis indicated five factors which named inequitable injustice, equitable justice, and justice on the basis of competency, ultimate justice and ultimate injustice. According to second order factor analysis, these five factors were considered as two factors named BELIEF IN JUST WORLD and BELIEF IN UNJUST WORLD. These two factors accounted for 1/803 and 1/194 of the variance with the eigenvalue equal to 36/059 and 23/886; moreover, Validity value of the instrument on Chronbach’s alpha was 0.652 for the BELIEF IN JUST WORLD and 0/678 for the BELIEF IN UNJUST WORLD.
