Abstract

The present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of using blogs as an educational aid in the ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION of high school students. The method of the study was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest, and a control group. The statistical population was all the high school students of Ramhormoz. Using Kerjesy and Morgan's sample size table, a sample of 88 students was selected. Using stratified random sampling method, the students were placed in 4 groups of girls and boys (2 intervention groups, 2 control groups, each group 22 persons). The data-collecting tool was a researcher made questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results indicated that there was a significant difference in knowledge, attitude and environmental behavior between the control and experimental groups, hence a significant difference between the two groups with respect to environmental knowledge. Also, a significant difference was discovered in males compared to females, which showed effectiveness in males was higher. The findings witnessed the efficacy of BLOGGING as an educational aid for ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION in the experimental group.
