Abstract

 Important decisions in urban planning due to the complex issues of urban growth has increased day by day. Field of software development technologies for the use of many models and methods in the field of planning has been facilitated. One of these technologies, the most common GIS and ArcGIS software is a program developed with the capability. In this paper, geographic information systems (GIS)-based multi-criteria decision analysis approach for mapping patterns of RESIDENTIAL development locations in the city of MASHHAD is introduced. It integrates multi-criteria decision making methods Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and sequential weighted averaging (OWA) in a raster GIS environment are included. AHP-OWA, an operator of a combination of several criteria that it depends on several parameters and can also be expressed by quantifier conceptual phase. Aims to help make decisions and achieve better understanding Patterns to achieve the appropriate options in relation to potential locations for RESIDENTIAL development is in MASHHAD. Performed based on different maps based on different judgments in relation to five criteria (educational facilities, emergency facilities, sound pollution and fire hazards centers) Seven different scenarios in the spectral range from appropriate to inappropriate, and the optimistic and pessimistic At least one, and All were obtained between the two modes.
