Abstract

Vitamin A involved in many physiological actions such as vision, reproduction, developing of epithelial tissue, embryo differentiation, growing and development of brain and spinal cord. Although Vitamin A used as an antioxidant compound for treat of epilepsy, effective on reproduction and treat of Alzheimer disease, but it isn't known yet mechanisms that act. This study is done in order to Effect of HYPERVITAMINOSIS A in the embryonic period and study effects on TESTOSTERONe and gonadotropin hormones in mature period in male Rat. After determining pregnancy, pregnant animals divided into 5 groups, randomly. Experimental groups 1, 2, 3, on gestational days 8.5, 10.5, 12.5 and 14.5, injected by 10, 20 and 30 mg/kg RETINOIC ACID as intraperitoneal. Then animals rest and do child birth. On time of Puberty (10 weeks), from male animals in all of groups get blood for determining amount of hormones. Results showed although receiving RA by pregnant mothers don't cause to produce significant difference on level of hormones but it's effect don't mark on steroidogenesis of future generation in maturity stages.
