Abstract

The story teller has a history of leaps and bounds, so that each of the folklore folks have their own detective stories, but the subtle point that prompted us to do this research is referring to John Scase's alleged existence of the world's first detective novel, known as the "mystery of the room closed" was on Herodotus. In this research we consider the theory of Tzvtan Todorov as the theoretical basis of the research, and in the next step, to prove our claim, we have a structural relation and a similar plot in the story of "The King of the Rampsisnitus and the Thief" in the history of Herodotus with an example of the story of a contemporary detective, written by Edgar Alenpo in comparison put. The results of this study show that although the story of "Rampsinitos and the thief" in the history of Herodotus, according to John-Escaz's view of the first "mystery of the world's room", is structurally overlapping with the theory of Tzutan Tudorov. There are also four verb narratives in the narrative grammar of the genre of narrative that form the basis of narrative suspension.
