A META-ANALYSIS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN PERSIAN SPEAKERS DATABASES

Abstract

 Given the importance of EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE in ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, the purpose of this study is a META-ANALYSIS of the studies which were conducted on the relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT. Through META-ANALYSIS method, this study integrates the results of various studies and then determines the effect size of the relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT. The population composed of all the research done up to 1392/4/20. Through the non-probabilistic targeted sampling method, 16 research documents were selected as the research samples. The research tool for the study was META-ANALYSIS checklist. META-ANALYSIS method used in this study was bead on the Hunter and Schmidtʼs approach to model-based interpretation of the Cohen model. The results showed a significant relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT since the effect size of the relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, (432.0), was above average, interpreted according to Cohen. It can be concluded that higher EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE has a significant correlation with ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT.
