Abstract

The concern of this essay is the measurement of the satellite programs impact on some of deprival and affirmative variables of SOCIAL ORDER. These variables are: NATIONAL IDENTITY and observance of religious duties as the affirmative variables, and CULTURAL ABNORMALITY, and cultural cosmopolitanism as the deprival variables. The research approach is descriptive, using stratified sampling and the sample size of 455 individual. the theoretical framework of the research is appling of CULTURAL IMPERIALISM theory. Based on the finding of the research, WATCHING SATELLITE PROGRAMS will compromise the NATIONAL IDENTITY and cause negative impacts on observance of religious duties as the affirmative variables. On the other hand, WATCHING SATELLITE PROGRAMS has the positive impact on CULTURAL IMPERIALISM, which can facilitate the new global order. Then in this essay, CULTURAL IMPERIALISM and CULTURAL ABNORMALITY as deprival components have been affected by watching satellite. So, research findings reveals that to reinforce SOCIAL ORDER affected by WATCHING SATELLITE PROGRAMS, we should apply tactics, politices, deprival and affirmative policies at the same time to reach the best level of security and order in the society.
