Abstract

The present paper sought to investigate the effective factors in Iran’s sociological DEVELOPMENT based on Frank’s and Col’s theories to present a more comprehensive analysis of this process in Iran. To achieve this end, the social models proposed by these two theorists needed to be more recognized. Then, an effort was made to identify Iran’s sociological position based on these theories and to clarify the DEVELOPMENT of this DISCIPLINE in the country. The research design was descriptive and the data were gathered, classified and analyzed. The results indicated that despite activities towards the sociological DEVELOPMENT, this DISCIPLINE had not been efficient; and because its DEVELOPMENT was bond to context or environment, it had not been capable of thoroughly fulfilling needs and necessities of our developing society.
