DETERMINATION OF ANOMALY AREAS IN BEHABAD SHEET BY MULTIVARIATE METHODS

Abstract

 The nominated area for geochemical studies with the scale 1:100.000 and 2500 km2 is located in suburb of Bafgh, also settled in the south of Tabas, in the north-east of Ravar and in the east of Bafgh.To execute these studies for finding probable mineralization, it has been used the researches regarding secondary aureoles of elements.After providing reticle sampling, 798 samples from stream sediments were selected and analyzed their geochemical data. Afterwards anomalies and hopeful areas were determined bymultivariate methods, specially FACTOR ANALYSIS and K-MEAN CLUSTER ALGORITHM and Anomaly maps were prepared by statistical and AutoCAD software.The results show BEHABAD has some anomalies for elements such as Pb and Zn. Majority of these zones correlate to abandon mines and known ore potentials that confirms the results, also show there might be new potentials in other areas.Accuracy and correctness of maps on the basis of anomaly areas, show K.M.C.A maps with due attention to being simple, fast and exact in appearance of anomaly areas, can be efficient and replacement method instead of general ones.
