Abstract

 In this paper, the dependence of the output power and the SPECTRAL LINES of a waveguide CO2 laser on gas ratio, total pressure as well as the input power is experimentally studied. The employed laser was a home-made DC discharged waveguide CO2 laser with 2 mm diameter and 35 cm length. Based on the experimental results, the P (20) line is dominant in the waveguide CO2 laser. However, there is a transient period after the change at discharge current during which the spectrum contained other lines and thereafter the oscillation on only 10P (20) line is stabilized.
