Abstract

Mathnavi Ma’navi is a mysterious rose garden, in which the flowers and plants are irrigated by limpid Koranic springs; its exhilarating and life-giving smells refresh the depressed and cures the ill-hearted. This unique work is so valuable that it has been said to be a mystic and loving interpretation of God's words. The warnings in this work should be heard with a “different ear” and absorbed “wholeheartedly” since it is rooted in divine words.Believing that, in the darknesses of the present time, following him and his secret-laden teachings can be a way to solution, this article looks at the way spiritual darknesses are portrayed in Mathnavi Ma’navi and in Mowlana’s thought-provoking references to SATAN and SATAN’s followers.
