Abstract

The development of ecotourism initially requires integrated planning and management. Planning for the development of ecotourism in recent times has been one of the subjects of sustainable development of tourism and regional development in the world. In this regard, the purpose of this paper is to determine the strategies for ecotourism development in Masal city in west of Guilan province. The research method is descriptive-analytic and of applied-development type. The statistical sample of the study consisted of 42 experts in Ph. D. and Master of Science in Delphi method and in three stages determined the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in relation to the ecotourism of the region. SPSS and Lisrel software were used to analyze the data. To determine the validity of the questionnaire, formal validity and reliability of the questionnaire were used to determine the reliability of Cronbach's alpha(0. 804). Using the SWOT and QSPM model, we determined the strategies for ecotourism development in Masal. The findings indicate that a Strategy for this purpose would be a conservative Strategy with WO strategies.
