Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ATTRIBUTIONs training on FORGIVENESS, causal and responsibility ATTRIBUTION on COUPLES of Ahvaz. Participants were 24 COUPLES who voluntarily took part in the study and were then randomly assigned to experimental (n=12) and control (n=12) groups.Methods: The design of the study was of pretest-posttest control group type. Hypothesizes of the study were: 1) ATTRIBUTION training will increase FORGIVENESS; 2) ATTRIBUTION training will enhance causal ATTRIBUTION; 3) ATTRIBUTION training will enhance (RAM) responsibility ATTRIBUTION. The Trait FORGIVENESS Scale (TFS) and Relation ATTRIBUTION Measure were used in this study. In addition to descriptive statistics, Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used.Results: The results confirmed all research hypothesizes and showed that ATTRIBUTION training increased FORGIVENESS and enhanced causal ATTRIBUTION and responsibility ATTRIBUTION in COUPLES.
