Abstract

Purpose: The aim of present study was investigate the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral group therapy for sexual dysfunction and MARITAL PROBLEMS on the dynamics of sex relation and SEXUAL APPEAL in women referred to family court. Method: In a semi-experimental study with pretest-posttest design and control group, 30 women referred to family court in Mashhad city were selected by available sampling method and then randomly designed into experimental and control groups. The experimental group participated in 8 sessions of 45 minutes at cognitive behavioral group therapy, while control groups were not in any treatment. The participants completed relation self-disclosure questionnaire and sexual awareness questionnaire. Data were analyzed by SPSS22 software, using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). Findings: The findings showed that cognitive behavioral group therapy for sexual dysfunction and MARITAL PROBLEMS leading to improving the dynamics of sex relation and sex appeal in the experimental group than control groups. According to these results, cognitive behavioral group therapy for sexual dysfunction and MARITAL PROBLEMS might be an efficient way of improving dynamics of sex relation and sex appeal in women referred to family court. Also, therapists can use this therapeutic approach for improving dynamics of sex relation and sex appeal.
