Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to compare PERSONALITY DISORDERS between ESTHETIC SURGERY applicants and ordinary adults. The data were collected from clients of three plastic surgeons of Sheikh ol raeis clinic, Tabriz, Iran, using Millon’s personality disorder questionnaire (developed by Millon in 1987).The research sample consisted of fifty ESTHETIC SURGERY applicants and fifty ordinary adults (43 females, 7 Males). The mean age of the experimental group was 25.96 years and for the control group, it was 25.04 years. The data were subjected to statistical analysis, and t-test showed that the experimental group was scored significantly higher on obsessive, anti-social, narcissism, histrionic, dependent, and schizoid personality disorder. No significant difference was found on avoidance, borderline, paranoid and schizotypal personality disorder between the two groups.
