Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the psychometric properties of Reker's ATTITUDE OF LIFE questionnaire in a sample of 470 Iranian university students. The sample were selected by random method. Results show internal consistency of scores on ATTITUDE OF LIFE scale 0.853.An exploratory factor analysis was performed, using a varimax rotation, extracted 5 factors: Existential vacuum, Will to purpose, Meaning of subjective, Liberty, …. These factors explain 39.46percent of the total variance of variables. the alpha coefficient which was 0.702 for 47 item. the test_retest for 30 students after 1 month was 0.828 and pearson correlation coefficient to investigate the convergent validity between questionnaire ATTITUDE OF LIFE and questionnaire self esteem was 0.571 the result indicate questionnaire has enough convergent validity.
