Abstract

 This paper investigates the methodologies of ROADMAP development for CVT in Iran. Since the knowledge of CVT ROADMAP development is not integrated, we required a method to collect structure and analyze this unclassified knowledge in order to define the future of CVT. This method has to consider both global trends and national transportation issues and also provides appropriate approaches to improve the specific issues of the country such as road safety.In this paper the common methods of ROADMAP development for CVT have been explained, following a description of the advantages of applying a ROADMAP and the identification of the general patterns. A conceptual model has also been proposed for developing the ROADMAP of the technology. Then various methods have been identified and investigated, and according to some criteria a method has been proposed for the CVT project. In the end S-plan method as the selected method has been described and the features of this method have been explained in details.
