Abstract

Nowadays, TOURISM is considered as one of the sources of income in the world countries. Cultural TOURISM which has been significantly developed since the late of the 20th century has a special status. Music TOURISM is one of the important results of cultural TOURISM which has turned into a successful TOURISM industry. Iran with its various tribes, each of which owns a specific music style, can be the destination of a lot of tourists. The music of every area is an expression of its people’s internal emotions and behaviors in such a way that the characteristics of the area can be inferred from the type of music played in that area. The purpose of the present article was to analyze MAGHAMI MUSIC of TORBAT-E-JAM in order to find a way for developing music TOURISM thereby reviving cultural TOURISM in this area. TORBAT-E-JAM was selected for the study because of its rich Maghami culture. The researchers used a library and analytical study to achieve their purpose. The results of the study indicated that MAGHAMI MUSIC can attract tourists to the area. Also TOURISM can preserve this kind of music and revive this local music which is a subsection of culture in the area. Totally music TOURISM can preserve and revive local culture in the area.
