Abstract

Nowadays rural development is one of the problems with which countries specially the developing countries and governments face. Rural areas face with a lot of problems although they have lots of natural resources and agriculture. This problem has caused the rural development to be focused by theorizers, planners, and executives more during recent years. One of the beneficial approaches which has been used and has had positive results is the development of RURAL TOURISM. The purpose of the present study was to analyze the COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT of RURAL TOURISM and its role in SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. This library research was meant to analyze the COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT in RURAL TOURISM. The results of this study indicate that the majority of planning in Iran had been directed towards the urban tourism while ignoring the development of RURAL TOURISM. Hence villagers are able to plan better than others. Thus rural areas have the potential to use the available facilities for tourism development and thus have a share to improve COOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT of RURAL TOURISM in their areas.
