Abstract

Geomorphology study can make considerable contribution in various tourism areas especially in the field recognition, localization and development planning. Iran has a great potential; thus, finding touristic resorts can make a significant effect in expansion of this field. The purpose of this study is to recognize of Ecotourism abilities of the Ardebil town. For this purpose, the GIS software was used to evaluate the parameters such as slope, aspect, elevation, temperature, land use, distance from some of the environmental factors and finally digital maps for each of them were prepared. According to research findings, eco-tourism activities in the Town include nature tourism, nomads tourism, wildlife, slopes and mountain climbing and winter sports. AHP and VIKOR models were used to gain weight indicators and grading the tourism criteria. The Ecotourism activity ranking matrix is Eco geomorphology index which include: slope, aspect, elevation, vegetation, water source and temperature. The result showed that tourism nomads, Ecotourism, winter sports and wild life tourism, have been scores with: 1, 0. 78, 0. 14, 0. 12 ranks respectively.
