Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research was to study the reference desk content of the central libraries of top universities affiliated to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.Methodology: In this study, the central library websites of top universities in Iran were investigated. First, these universities were investigated in terms of having DIGITAL REFERENCE DESK SERVICES. Then the content of digital reference desks of those universities was analized.Results: Among the 72 universities which had been investigated, 31 universities had DIGITAL REFERENCE DESK SERVICES. Shahed University had the highest percentage of compliance with Features of DIGITAL REFERENCE DESK SERVICES and then was Tarbiat Modaress University. Generally, all the libraries had 7.73% of the Compliance with Features of DIGITAL REFERENCE DESK SERVICES.Conclusion: There is a correlation between the universities degrees and the Compliance with Features of DIGITAL REFERENCE DESK SERVICES.
