Abstract

The use of futuristic approaches to revitalizing the worn out texture necessitates attention to the Scenario planning issue. The Scenario is a useful method for medium and long-term planning in uncertain conditions. The purpose of this research is to provide Scenarios of Abkouh castle in Mashhad. The type of research is based on the purpose of the applied, in terms of the nature and method descriptive-analytical, in terms of the data collection a combination of quantitive and qualitative. In order to develop the Scenarios, 25 questionnaires were distributed among the executive and academic elites. The collected data analyzed by using Micmac software. According to the results of the cross-effects matrix in Micmac software, the lack of ownership document with 75 scores has the most influence and disturbance of urban landscape with 86 scores has the most dependence. According to the amount of uncertainty of the factors the lack of ownership document, the absence of specific rules for problematic textures, low relative land prices compared with the immediate and inclusive ranges and low economic levels of residents as the most important factors have an effective role in the Regeneration of the castle of Abkouh in the future. Integrating these axes, created four Scenarios of golden, silver, bronze and gray life. First Scenario, which is called "Golden Life", efficient laws and favorable economics of resident make the bright horizon in the life of Abkouh castle, and for the proper restoration of the texture, the most desirable Scenario is the Golden Life Scenario.
