Abstract

This research examines the comparison of marital satisfaction among couples with traditional and modern styles and social factors related to it in Miandouab. The research method is survey and the sample size is 382 married men or women and the instrument is Enriches marital satisfaction questionnaire. Statistical methods are Pearson correlation, t-test and one-way analysis of variance. The results show that, there is no significant difference between gender and satisfaction and also, there is no significant relationship between the marital age gap of married couples and marital satisfaction. The average of marital satisfaction in terms of socio-economic class is statistically different. Moreover, the marital satisfaction in terms of the level of education between couples is statistically different and in terms of the number of children in both groups (traditional and modern) there is a relationship. The authority of the family is also directly related to the amount of marital satisfaction. And finally there is a significant difference between the adherence of religion and marital adherence of religion.
