Abstract

Effort to formulate comprehensive policies in order to advance the community's economic, social, political, cultural etc., development process requires the effects of INFLATION be examined. Since it is one of the most important problems of developing countries in all aspects of life, including social issues such as CRIME, which impose heavy costs to individuals and society annually. For this reason, after the expression of theoretical subjects, the relationship between INFLATION and CRIMEs is investigated by using an integrated data model at different time levels (short and long term) on an experimental basis and at the provincial level over the period 1997-2012. Furthermore, the effectiveness of this variable on types of CRIME, including property CRIME and violent CRIME are specified, along with other important variables.The results indicate that INFLATION always has positive and significant impact on types of CRIME in long-term and short-term periods, and comparison of tensions suggest that the effect of INFLATION on CRIME is even further than the effect of unemployment.
