Abstract

Objective: multiple sclerosis affects the physical and psychological state of many patients. The purpose of this study was to compare Perceived social support and self-compassion among patients with multiple sclerosis and Normal people. Method: The present study was a causal-comparative study. In this study, 200 individuals with multiple sclerosis and 200 healthy individuals were selected by sampling method as a sample of this study in the years 1396-97. The research tools included Perceived social support scale and self-compassion scale. Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance. Results: The results showed that there is a significant difference between the group of patients with multiple sclerosis and healthy people in terms of Perceived social support and selfcompassion. Conclusion: People with multiple sclerosis uses Perceived social support and self-compassion for more adaptation to disease.
