Abstract

This research is a sociological study on social ALIENATION. The researcher attempts to reveal the substantial and epistemological changes by ALIENATION theories from metaphysical, philosophical, empirical and social perspectives. The research is planned a social ALIENATION model according to socio-cultural conditions and presenting two types of hypothesis (macro & micro) based on the related model. This study is carried out on the YOUTH residing in contemporary Tehran, with 15 to 29 years old. The main aim of this study was to identify effective factors on the ALIENATION of YOUTH .To achieve this goal, we attempted to build the conceptual framework. Then based on this framework, assumptions in order to achieve the research objectives were set. Our sample size in this research was 375 persons. In this study, a multi-stage random sampling method was used and we used questionnaire technique to gather information. Our methodological approach in this research was ANALYTICAL HIERARCHICAL PROCESS and constructing (A.H.P) model. About types of ALIENATION of YOUTH, we obtained these finding: The Normlessness is the most common Type of ALIENATION among the YOUTH after that meaninglessness is in second grade, Estrangement is in third grade, social isolation is in fourth grade and powerlessness is in last grade. The Social ALIENATION of YOUTH among girls and boys has the same status.
