Abstract

this article tries to assess the social potential’ effect on locales liking in selected regions of TEHRAN CITY. The method is descriptive and correlation analysis and the data is collected by 475 questionnaire distribution with a systematic sampling technique and interviews with TEENAGERS aged between 12 to 16 years old in Elahiye-h, Narmak, Hashemi and Yaftabad regions. The aim of this study is to determine the causal relationships among social potential factors on LOCALE LIKING indices. The parametric F test and also Tukey test are used to cluster the regions. The F test results show that among social potential factors (social coherence, social participation and social trust), there is a significant difference only in social participation in different regions. Based on Tukey test results, Elahiye-h has the least and Yaftabad has the most social participation. Among social potential factors, the social trust element has the most correlation with LOCALE LIKING. The Pearson correlation coefficient is 0.380 for social potential index and LOCALE LIKING which is considered as a medium correlation.
