Abstract

Contemporary poem from the appearance has been messenger of new values for the human being that this kind of scrutiny makes us closer to the out look of contemporary human being. In addition to the aesthetic aspect, a reader expects of a poet is consideration to the human valuable objects.By reading a poem we can understand whether the poem has paid attention to them or not and also the poet has forgotten the pain of the people or not. Nima and NAZEK ALMALAEKEH as the originator of the contemporary poem composed poems in social, political and lyric aspects and due to that they have some similar poems. One of these similarities is consideration of POVERTY in a society. Nima that his most significant trait is tendency to the people and having social content in his poem, in the poem “Khanevadeie Sarbaz” (Soldier Family) make an image of social distance causing by injustice in the society. On the other hand, NAZEK ALMALAEKEH expresses her sorrow of the people’s misfortune in her poem called “Alghasr va Alkookh” (Castle and Slum). In this research, in addition to taking a look at Nima and NAZEK ALMALAEKEH’s life and their political and social lives, the object of POVERTY in their poem will be surveyed. Then, beside the discussion and deduction of these poems, the similarities and differences of their poems will be conveyed.
