Abstract

According to the revelational doctrines, hikmat (divine wisdom) is some kind of awareness of the facts; hence, there is a deep conceptual relationship between ilm (knowledge) and hikmat. The religion has attempted to introduce this relationship so that man, on the basis of the given map, can have a spiritual vision of God prior to the Resurrection by staying away from sins and disconnecting from the creatures. Offering a definition for ‘spiritual vision’ clear from imagination theory, this article attempts to delve into the possibility of embracing wisdom by all human beings during their lifetime. The article asserts that the outcome of ‘spiritual vision’ is ma’refat (divine knowledge), which is the most outstanding among all kinds of knowledge.
