Abstract

Objectives: The present study aims to investigate MATE SELECTION CRITERIA among UNIVERSITY STUDENTS of ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY and ghom state university.Method: The method of the research is descriptive- survey study and statistical community includes all 158 participants in marriage ceremony of supreme leader representative institute in universities. Collecting data is through questionnaire consisting 30 questions and its reliability was calculated to be 89% using the cronbach, s Alpha. To analyze the data descriptive methods and Pierson correlation tests... are used.Results: The results of the present study indicate "mental health" as the most important priority in MATE SELECTION CRITERIA among UNIVERSITY STUDENTS and political ideas having the least importance in MATE SELECTION CRITERIA among students. The following priorities are the most important criterions in MATE SELECTION CRITERIA among UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: chastity, nobility and gentilesse, honesty in family life, moral agreement between the spouses, security and safety, reliability, high sense of responsibility, physical health, proportion in culture and education.Conclusion: The author of the survey concludes the UNIVERSITY STUDENTS attention to spiritual factors is more than their attitude toward materialistic views and criteria.
