Abstract

Hereditary, DIRECTED SUBSETs of a group and a semi- group and some of their properties are discussed. A class of RELATIONs in terms of the range projections of a partial representation of a discrete group is introduced. It is shown that the SPECTRUM of these RELATIONs is homeomorphic to the set of all characters of the diagonal subalgebra of the Toeplitz algebra.
