SOCIAL FACTORS AFFECTING FERTILITY RATE IN THE FAMILY

Abstract

 The importance of reproductive as the most important factor in construction of population and population size has led to studies about fertility and effective factors on it, to allocate a special place in the demographic studies. According to the uncontrolled growth of world population in past centuries and limited resources and also knowing that population growth should be commensurate with the current resources and talents and imbalances and lack of population control Cause to not execute social justice and unfair distribution of resources among the population. And according to performance and behavior of individuals come from their attitudes and knowledge, So it is very important to aware youth attitudes towards population policies and its impact on their performance in this area. The present study is of descriptive – casual type. The research method is survey. Statistical population includes all students of Islamic Azad University North Tehran Branch. The data was collected by a question naire, the survey was carried out among 200 people. Sampling with the combination of disproportionate stratified sampling and cluster sampling was done. Research findings suggest that REPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIOR has a significant correlation with ATTITUDES TOWARD POPULATION POLICIES, the intensity of this relationship is weak, and its path is direct. REPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIOR has a significant correlation with the degree of RELIGIOSITY, the intensity of this relationship is weak, and its path is direct. REPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIOR has not significant correlation with rate of PATRIARCHY IN THE FAMILY. Rate of tend to more childbearing among the men is higher than the women. Rate of tend to more childbearing among those have average SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS is the highest and among those have high SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS, is the lowest. REPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIOR has not significant correlation with the age. REPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIOR has a significant correlation with the age difference between spouses and the intensity of this relationship is average, and its path is reversed and indirect.
