Abstract

The vulnerability to foreign exchange rate fluctuations exposes intrnational business and more specifically multinational corporation to a new source of risk namel;y foreign exchange exposure. This article seetks to investigare the ways to rationalise decision making on foreign exchange exposure management viewed from different categories of hedging philosophies and perceptions of risk. The approach can be materialized by means of a proactive policy,i.e; a policy that is neither purely protective, nor inappropriately aggressive.
