Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the role of PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS, CREATIVITY and HUMOR STYLES in prediction of students SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING. Research method was descriptive and correlational. The sample consisted of 200 participates of Persian gulf university students (126 female and 74 male) who were selected among various faculties by the use of multi-stage random sampling. The instruments used in this study were: Neo-FFI, HUMOR STYLES Inventory, SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING Scale and CREATIVITY Questionnaire. The results of this research indicated that neuroticisms, extraversion, openness and conscientiousness had a significant relationship with SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING. Also, between CREATIVITY multidimensional, only fluency and extension had a significant relationship with SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING. And between self-enhancing, self-defeating and aggressive HUMOR STYLES had a significant relationship with SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING. Stepwise regression analysis showed complex relationships (RS=0.59) between PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS, CREATIVITY and HUMOR STYLES with SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING.
