Abstract

An old dispute exist between the experts preferred approaches to PERSONALITY traits or PERSONALITY types. While PERSONALITY traits introduce more features that are not obvious, types are described persons in everyday language based on combinations of Distinguishing characteristics. This study been done with present of Torgersen TYPOLOGY and its survey in Isfahan. This study was ex post facto and descriptive - cross sectional. The destination statistics society of this study is couples from Isfahan in 1390, that according to categorical sampling chosen 3700 subjects and distribute questionnaires to determine PERSONALITY types. Which due to drops ended up to 3066 (1533 females and 1533 males) subjects. In order to extract PERSONALITY type's Torgersen was used NEO PERSONALITY Questionnaire, that based on combinations of high and low scores (above and below the median) on Neuroticism, Extraversion, and Consciousness result eight unique PERSONALITY types. This types include Spectator, Insecure, Skeptic, Brooder, Hedonist, Impulsive, Entrepreneur and Complicated. The results showed that the most FREQUENCY was belonging to Entrepreneur type and then Insecure type, and the lowest FREQUENCY was belonging to Hedonist and Impulsive types. The FREQUENCY based on sex observed that Hedonist type had lowest FREQUENCY for females, and for the males lowest FREQUENCY belonging to Impulsive type.
