Abstract

Nowadays, the economic competition in the public and private sectors is in progress with a high speed. The institutions and companies need competitive advantage to continue this competition. The competitive advantage is composed of factors or abilities which enable the company to have a better performance compared with other companies and prevents the blind imitation of the competitors. Hence, lots of public and private sectors use their COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE services for making their decision makers ready. The COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE means collection and analysis of information regarding the ability of the weaknesses and aims of the business competitors which is acquired through databases, free resources and legal and ethical ways. Also, in the recent years, the INFORMATION SYSTEMS have had a significant role in management discipline and strategic management. In this condition, recognition of the changes in market, competition, TECHNOLOGY, innovation, understanding the behavior pattern of the customers, and predicting the future trends are necessary and essential. By presenting a suggested model, the present article investigates the relation between the INFORMATION SYSTEMS and COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES with use of COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE in informatics companies of Guilan province. The data was collected through questionnaire. The structural equation modeling was applied for data analysis according to the suggested model.
