Abstract

urban furniture is one of the main parts pf urban spaces tht with its presence could improve the quality and efficiency of the space in any place and would provide the comfort and tranquility for the space adequately. urban furniture organizes aparge part of activities in the city and would cause and increase in citizens’ acquiring of the perimeter environment and increses their joy and convenience of them in streets, parks and other urban areas. In the present study, the role and place of urban furniture in urban places of gorgan city has been analyzed and evaluated from the perspective of citizens. Thepeading approach of this study according to the subject and principals under study, is a combination of descriptive-analytic and field study methods that has been performed with completion of questionnaire in different parts of gorgan city. The society of study includes the citizens of gorgan city in the year of 2017 that a number of 384 individuals of them were chosen using the Cochrane formula and the five choice questionnaire withpickert spectrum were distributed amongst them using simple random method. The questionnaire of the study is researcher made that its visual vaidity has been approaved bypecturers and its realiability has been approaved using the CronBach’ s alpha equalt to 0. 85. for evaluation of research hypotheses the single sample T examination and Chi square examination in the SPSS software were used. The results gathered from the study shows that the urban furniture influences beautifying and giving identity to urban spaces, physical and mental health of citizens and qualifying the urban spaces. Also amongst the variables of urban furniture and tourism attraction in gorgan city and also amongst the variables of urban furniture and tourism developmentpies a positive and meaningful relationship.
