EXPLAINING THE OBJECTIVES OF "HAPPY SCHOOL" CURRICULUM BASED ON ISLAMIC INSTRUCTIONS

Abstract

 The purpose of this study is investigation of the HAPPINESS and identification of the objectives of the "HAPPY SCHOOL" CURRICULUM, based on Islamic instructions. This paper is a qualitative study with inductive-deductive approach and has been prepared with content analysis method. This means that by review of the related studies, in the fields of psychology, education and Islamic sciences, the concept of HAPPINESS, its factors and the objects of HAPPY SCHOOL CURRICULUM based on conventional knowledge have been identified. Also, narratives related to the factors of HAPPINESS in Islam were collected and analyzed. Then objectives of HAPPY SCHOOL CURRICULUM based on Islamic instructions were explained. The results of this paper represents that the objects of HAPPY SCHOOL CURRICULUM include three aspects of cognitive, attitude and skill. Comparison of the results between two views indicates that some components based on Islamic teachings not be found in conventional knowledge such as managing of emotions and propensity, satisfaction of divine destiny in different situations. Other differences between the objectives of HAPPY SCHOOL CURRICULUM in Islamic view and conventional knowledge are integration, aggregation, comprehensiveness, clearness of aims and centrality of religious doctrines.
