Abstract

Soft war is as a result of the fundamental change in the way power looked, not as a hardware but a software. This kind of power in media has centralized the attentions to Opposition and Contraflow streams of diplomacy, as the most effective approaches in this pervasive war.The CONTEMPORARY ISLAMIC AWAKENING is the most important criteria of Islamic Revolution that built the new Islamic identity in Islamic world. The extent of this impact, has been followed by new look to Islam, Islamic Revolution, dependent states, corrupt governors and also the revision of the reality of individual and social life. So the overall impression of soft power of Revolution can be seen in different aspects of CONTEMPORARY ISLAMIC AWAKENING.The West Opposition diplomacy and its affiliates, as the new media action, oppose the current movement like CONTEMPORARY ISLAMIC AWAKENING. They try to put the current Islamic wave to the challenges in a confrontational manner. The plan to organize these movements in line with their objectives or at least lead them to deviation. THE CONTRAFLOW is the other media approach that organizes the practices of crisis and parallel flows for wide conflict, instead of opposition.These two software approach to diplomacy against CONTEMPORARY ISLAMIC AWAKENING, has changed into two basic axes of all involved in new movement of people in Islamic world. They are continuously trying to create a power shift in social and governmental structure.This article tries to explain the Opposition stream and THE CONTRAFLOW diplomacy approaches in MEDIA SOFT WAR and simultaneously describes the examples of these two approaches through discourse analysis of certain FOREIGN MEDIA regarding CONTEMPORARY ISLAMIC AWAKENING and Islamic Revolution.
