Abstract

The Islamic Revolution in Iran led by Imam Khomeini in 1979 generated a kind of “ Islamic-Revolutionary” identity in international arena. The identities created commonalities between Islamic Revolution and ALBA COUNTRIES and public opinions in LATIN AMERICA. Accordingly, the main question of present study is as follow: What is the common identity of Islamic Revolution? and countries of ALBA In terms of nature, research method is applied, and in terms of methodology is combined (quantitative-qualitative). The statistical population consist presidents, foreign ministers and ambassadors of ALBA COUNTRIES participated in Tehran non-aligned summit. The sample size. is 23 people Based on research findings, revolutionary identity elements of Islamic republic are widespread in following components: independence with an average of 76/63, justice seeking 75/36, confronting with unilateralism of powerful nations 69/59, protesting the unfair structure of international system 66/28, anti-hegemony in LATIN AMERICAn region particularly countries of ALBA 61/9. As a result, identity commonalities have provided conditions for presence of. Iran and expansion of strategic depth in LATIN AMERICAn region.
